On April 14, 2019, Atletiek Oirschot and the Loopgroep Bali Runners foundation organized the second edition of the Groene Woud Lente Trail. This recreational running, trail, and walking event took place in the Kampina nature reserve, located between Oisterwijk, Boxtel, and Oirschot. The participants enjoyed the varied forest environment of 'De Mortelen', where the greenery of nature and the colors of the flora, such as lesser celandine and cowslip, were in full bloom. Nearly 300 participants had the chance to explore this unique piece of nature on foot, which is normally not accessible to large groups.
Highlights
- The Groene Woud Spring Trail is not a competition, but recreational running or walking through De Mortelen, one of the most beautiful nature reserves.
- Participants were given the opportunity to download the course via GPS, with the start and finish at De Beersche Hoeve in Oostelbeers.
