The RunX Half Marathon of Haren is an annual event that relies on the dedication of volunteers and offers various routes that appeal to both beginners and experienced runners. This spring classic will celebrate its 40th edition on Saturday, March 8, 2025, starting at the industrial area Felland Zuid in Haren. The routes of 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km are carefully marked and provide a safe and enjoyable running experience through the beautiful Hondsrug landscape, the Noordlaarderbos, and the Vijftig Bunder. The 21.1 km and 10 km distances are certified by the Athletics Union, and there will be enthusiastic supporters along the route.
Highlights
- Helpers are still being sought for, among other things, traffic management, water stations, setup and teardown, lead cycling, and preparing lunch packages.
- The course takes you through the stunning Hondsrug landscape, the Noordlaarder forest, and the Fifty Acres.
- At the corner by the entrance of Appelbergen, there is once again a stunning performance by the band "de Smit."
