On Saturday, May 2, 2026, the 7th edition of the Petranpad Ultra Trail and Walk will take place. In the Petranpad Ultra Trail, participation is more important than winning, which is why "competition" is in parentheses. No podium prizes will be awarded; only the honor will be granted. The Petranpad Ultra Trail is the longest ultratrail in the Netherlands, with a 112 km course around the North Limburg municipality of Horst a/d Maas, where participants run through various nature reserves. A personal GPS receiver is necessary, as the route is not marked.
Highlights
- The 64 km route follows the 112 km route from Griendtsveen, with the southern loop being shortened at Grubbenvorst.
- A free bus service is provided on Saturday morning from Meerlo (finish) to the start in Griendtsveen.
- The Ultra Trail and Walk is self-sufficient (excluding drinks), which means you need to bring enough food of your own to cover the distance.
