The Mar-athon Sneek is a unique walking and running event around Sneek and the Sneekermeer, taking place on the longest Saturday of the year, June 24th. Over the years, this event has brought thousands of people into motion who have enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Participants can choose from three walking routes and two running routes, with distances of 42.2 km (Marathon), 21.1 km (Half-Marathon), and 7.5 km. The organization is in Frisian hands and offers a unique experience in the water-rich environment of Súdwest-Fryslân.
